Every great idea has a humble beginning. Ours started with a tea drawer — and then another, and another.

What began as a simple home collection of Twinings English Breakfast teabags and freshly ground Vittoria Espresso coffee beans slowly grew into something far more wonderful. Through gifts, travels, and an ever-growing curiosity, a love of tea expanded far beyond the everyday cup.

Earl Grey with its delicate bergamot. The bold depth of Assam. The warming spice of Masala Chai. The smooth, comforting embrace of Royal Milk Tea. Ancient black and green teas from China, traditional black teas from the gardens of India and Sri Lanka, tisanes gathered from around the world — and more recently, the vibrant green of Japanese Matcha and the toasty warmth of Hojicha joining the collection.

What was once a single drawer became an overflowing celebration of the world's most beloved brews. And from that collection, The Tea Cookie Co. was born.

One of the very first questions we were asked during the development of our recipes was: 'Are your cookies designed to pair with tea or coffee — and do they have enough flavour to be enjoyed on their own?'

Honestly? We thought about it far longer than we should have.

Because the answer is beautifully simple: there is no right way.
